8-Person Mechanics

On-Field Camp

Camp Information

Picture:  Please provide us with a picture for our camp directory (preferably a head shot).  This will help our clinicians identify you during scrimmage and in video review.

Uniform:  Since the scrimmage will be at 8:00  in the morning, wear your NEW summer uniform, which includes black shorts w/white stripe and white crew socks.   We will also wear the new 2" stripes, not the old 1" stripes.  Don't worry about the position letters on the shirts, bring what you have.  Bean bag colors are optional.  If you don't have the new black shorts or wide stripes, don't stress out about it, but do try to buy or borrow the uniform.

Shirt Numbers:  We will provide you with a numbered placket and safety pins to attach to your shirt.  This number will also help our clinicians identify you during scrimmages and in video review. You must return these numbers to us at the end of the Camp.

Crew and Position Assignments:  You will be assigned to a 8-person crew.  If you wish to work with your own crew, please specify who your crew members are, otherwise we will use our best efforts to have you work at your first choice of desired position based on a “First Paid, First Pick” basis, so please be prepared to work a secondary position.

Mechanics: You will work 8-person mechanics as if your scrimmage is being played under NCAA rules.  Please be prepared to use the mechanics as outlined in the latest version of the CCA Football Officiating Manual when you work on-field in San Antonio.

Off-Field Dress:  San Antonio’s climate will be warm, so it will be acceptable to wear shorts and casual dress for our meetings and gatherings at the hotel and at the stadiums.  Be comfortable.

Transportation:  We DO NOT provide you with transportation at the Camp.  The Comfort Inn Fiesta (our Camp headquarters) does NOT run a complimentary shuttle service to and from the San Antonio Airport, and will NOT provide your travel to the scrimmage site, you will need to arrange your own transportation.  We don’t foresee this to be a problem, so please make friends at the Camp with someone who can share a ride with you, or rent a vehicle so you can share with others.

Liability Release Please read the Liability Release posted on this site.  By signing up for and participating in the Camp, you agree to the terms of the release.  If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know before you get to the Camp.
